This course is a little different from the daytime course, and takes you from the sunset over the ocean to the starry sky. You can observe the ever-changing nature of life before your eyes from on board or underwater.

Set sail before sunset to watch the sun sink into the horizon. The ocean at night, which lasts 12 hours a day, offers a completely different underwater world than the daytime. What fish are there in abundance during the night? What fish sleep with unique poses? You’ll see nocturnal creatures like shrimp and crabs, and if you hold an underwater light and direct it upwards with your hand, you’ll see many bioluminescent plankton! This fantastical sight should be seen with the naked eye. If you time the tide and season just right, you can even see coral spawning, and there are plenty of other highlights to enjoy. Experience the mysteries of the oceans and enjoy an exciting dive. On the way back, the boat slowly cruises under a starry sky.

Ishigaki Island, located in the Yaeyama Islands at the southernmost tip of Japan, is also known as the “Star Island” because it offers the most beautiful starry sky in Japan. it is the perfect place for stargazing, with all 21 first magnitude stars visible, 84 out of 88 constellations visible, and even the Southern Cross and Milky Way, depending on the season. Standing on the silent sea at night, free of artificial light, you will be moved by the overwhelming brilliance of the stars as you look up at the sky.
